Nub Tshona Patta

As per the records or statistics of the Tourism Council of Bhutan is concerned, Nub Tshona Patta trek is doing
far better than many other trek routes. In 2006 there were 102 trekkers making fourth in terms of top arrivals
by trekkers. However, it dropped to only 67 trekkers in 2007 but quite a few doing Chelela Nature trek, Haa
trek and Sagala trek. The latest (2008) for Nub Tshona Patta is 32, again a slight drop compared to 2007 but
consistent trekker for Chelela Nature Trek, Haa Trek and Sagala Trek.

The important attraction is the breathtaking 360 view of other mountains .
It also has high concentration of medicinal plants. It is a sure spotting area of birds like Himalayan Monal
Pheasant and animal like Blue Sheep. Again, Tegola could be developed as the hub for Rhododendron as it has
high concentration of different Rhododendron species. Many beautiful lakes are a sure part of the trek. Yaks and
its herders’ camps, beautiful valleys, Chukha meto, etc., are its attractions. We really do not like the readers to
think that the above are just the attractions of the trek route. Please remember that these are just some we can
name and these are just we spotted during a cloudy and rainny survey. There is a lot more out there and we are
definately SURE!
